C.R.A.F.T 62 - Sketch & digi

Over at C.R.A.F.T this week, they've let me loose with a sketchpad again...! LOL! They're either very brave or very foolish......!

So here it is. And we have a little image to use too, from our lovely sponsor an image of our English National bird, the Wren.

This is what I've made with these things.

I used a 'Diamond Blue' pearlescent card as the base and made a jacket with an aperture from a silver-printed vellum. I trimmed this a little on the lower edge with a sliver of contrast vellum and a narrow satin ribbon in a silver grey.
I made a narrow mat in a similar manner and a maching tag from a few scraps.
The silhouette is from my own collection and is called 'SunAngel Silhouette' - it's available from 'StitchyBear Stamps' now.

I finished off with a few blooms.

Hope you like it!

Crafty Cardmakers - Spotlight on 'Punches'

At Crafty Cardmakers this week, we have a technique spotlight and the theme this week is 'punches'.

I rather like the Martha Stewart punches as they're so easy to use and have so many lovely designs.

My base card is a rose-coloured Bazzil 'Bling' and over that, a hammered cream card which I've bordered with the large deep Martha Stewart dasiy border.

This I 'daubed' with chalks to bring out the texture and to add a bit of interest

Next I used my Mega Curved Rectangle Nestie to make a mini-card to adhere to the front of the main card, and this I first mounted on some pink pearlescent paper I'd punched with another Martha Stewart small border punch.

I used some rose-pink ribbon to trim both cards, adding definition and made the tag with a tag punch and scraps of paper & pink mylar tape.

The large flower was created with a poinsettia Nestie and a blossom Nestie and the large leaves are individual leaves of a Sizzix poinsettia die.

Hope you like it...!

Yayy! I'm on Stitchy Bear....!

Finally, with a lot of help from the fabulous Stitchy, I'm finally there on Stitchy-Bear Stamps!
Well, three of my digis are anyway! LOL!
You've no idea how much work goes on to get these things in the public domain! My poor noggin is throbbin'!

Stitch must be cursing all techno-challenged artists in general and one in particular...! LOL!

I just have three of my Ada drawings on at the minute but there'll be more very soon (hopefully later today!).

I hope you pop over there and have a gander at not only mine, but the other artists too, especially my mate HopeJacare!
Thank you for looking!

C.R.A.F.T 61 - Hot & Spicy!

I've no clue where this post went to! I wrote it up days ago and it just disappeared! That should not be possible!
Never mind - here it is again!

Over on C.R.A.F.T this week -
as we don't seem to be getting any 'real' summer at the moment, we have decided to create our own! Yeah, we're fed up of the miserable weather so we want you lot to come up with something Hot & Spicy!

You can use any genre you like, you can stamp, decoupage, knit, make a scrapbook layout or otherwise express yourself but your creation must be in Hot & Spicy colours.

Think of reds, oranges, hot pinks, golden yellows! We'll even allow you a little tiny bit of contrasting lime, lemon and turquoise but the overall effect must be steaming hot!

We have a fab sponsor for this week! Rosemary Merry's 'Crabapple Crafts' are offering a fab prize to the winner of this week's challenge so it would be good to see some summer holiday scrapbook layouts!

As tv's (...and certainly mine...!) favourite Scrapbooker, Rosemary always bring us great products in her own shop, Crabapple Crafts and on QVC and this August is no exception!

Rosemary will be appearing at the following times.

Crafts Creative Moments (the name of her relaunched shows)
3 August from 2.00pm - 4.00pm
3 August from 7.00pm - 8.00pm shared with USA guest Teresa Collins

American Crafts
16 August from 1.00pm - 2.00pm

Most of the products in all these shows haven't been seen before on QVC so it's going to be interesting and fun!

I personally love American Crafts (amongst others) and have a few of their stacks - the quality is just wonderful and the designs strong and contemporary - and Rosemary always presents an interesting show with lots of demos and inspiration.

That's why I've done a scrapbook layout this week!

It's fairly self-explanatory (...as scrap-pages are wont to be...!) and as you can see, Charlie & Izzy have been busy! We'll see how busy in a few weeks! LOL!

Pop over to craft and join in with our summer fun - it'll be cooler everywhere else...!

Crafty Cardmakers 26 - Recipe

At Crafty Cardmakers this week we have a lovely recipe from our super
team-mate Joy - use the colours yellow/orange, punch/stickers, animal/fish/bird.

My paper is from K&Co, my puches from Martha Stewart and my cute lickle 'Birds in Silly Hats' image from Hambo! I coloured the image with Copics.

Our sponsor this week is Gurlee Girl - pop over and have a look at her shop!
I hope you like it - I just love that image....! LOL!

C.R.A.F.T 60 - Out Of This World

This week at C.R.A.F.T we're travelling Out Of This World and exploring the final frontier! Frontier of what is up to you! It's just got to be Out Of This World. So, I've gone literal and drawn a rocketship digistamp and created an outer space backdrop, both of which will be in my shop very soon!

Talking of Eiglassing (my shop), I am sponsor this week over at C.R.A.F.T and the prize for this challenge, is your choice of digis from my shop up to £10.00 or, indeed, if there's a special genre you want I'll draw one especially for you instead!

I'm afraid the 'shaker' detail won't behave and stay the right way round! Sorry!

I have further exciting news too! My digis are soon to be available at Stitchy Bear Stamps! How's that!? I'm very chuffed at being asked to join a band of designers I admire!

Pop over to C.R.A.F.T and get Outta This World on inspiration! LOL!
