LOC Challenge #26 - Die cuts

This week the emphasis is on die-cuts.  Do you have any fancy dies you like to use? Then brush them off and enter our fab challenge!

Our sponsors this week are Ike Art and The Stamping Chef  so I'm using an image from Ike again - 'Poinsettia Fairy'. As usual, I've coloured her with my Copic Sketch Markers.  To add luminosity to the eyes & lips, I've added a little clear 'Glaze' pen from GellyRoll.

The dies are all Spellbinders dies but not sure of the names as I store them on magnetic sheets. The paper is a K&Co one from their 'Winter Wonderland' Scrap-Pad-To-Go.

Do please pop over to LOC and have a look at my Teamies' demos - they're fab - and do consider entering our challenge!

Note: for some reason, my scheduling is up the spout - this was not supposed to come on until 28th - last months came on early too, so I apologize to anyone it inconveniences, this theme won't be 'live' until 28th, which is Friday.   Hugs Ei x

LOC Challenge @25b - Demon Lovers

Hi all ! This is the mid-way reminder week of the LOC challenge and, as promised, I have a new project to show you, complete with a new Eiglas digi - 'Julian - Demon lover'.

Julian is my first vampire - I must introduce him to 'Attitude' at some point - I'm sure they'd get on like a house on fire...NOT! LOL! :D

This project/card, looks a lot more complex than it actually is.

All it is is an 8X8 card, on its side with the 'arch' made with a piece of 'L' shaped card braced with little square 'tubes' of card.

The sarcophagus is actually a flat piece - just drawn to look dimensional and Julian is just decoupaged and glued atop it!

All the other bits are just charms and the 'curtain' pole is a hat pin!

Really basic!
The card I used is Ameican Crafts Bazzil card in a stone colour which I ruled out with lines to make the stone blocks of the wall and coloured with my Copics.

Both Julian and his sarcophagus are available upon request (I still haven't the knack with PayPal buttons! LOL!) and on my Eiglassing digi site.

I could even make a digi of the stone blocks if anyone thinks it might be a good one to have...?

Please do pop over to LOC and have a look at my teamies new demos - we have two teams which post on alternative weeks so there is always a fresh project or two for you to see!

Why not enter our challenge yourself?

My Toby is now Three...!

I can't believe he's three already! My baby grandson is no longer a baby but a proper little boy!

I never like it when my babies grow up - I love them as babies so much but I have to say, Toby is THE most engaging little chap that I am really enjoying his growing too - an he IS a REAL boy - if you know what I mean...! LOL!
Totally obsessed with his widgie!  It's very hard to do the necessary correcting when you're stifling giggles...!

He told his granddad he had a sore tummy.  Granddad gently touched his tummy. 'There?' asked granddad.
'No, ' says a glum Toby 'lower down Granddad.'
'Here then?' asks granddad, gently touching his belly-button area.
'No, ' says Toby, big luminous eyes solemnly looking at granddad, 'lower down.'
So granddad obliges and then realizes 'Toby, that's your widgie!'
Explosive giggles 'I know!!! hehehehe....!'

What do you do with such a monkey!

I've been so poorly this past ten days, I thought Toby would end up with a bought card (not that he'd be bothered! LOL!) but managed to dredge on up out of my pain-wracked being.....

Toby loves Mike the Knight and I did him one of that genre last year, so I thought I'd move it on a notch this year and do a real knight theme.

So I started by drawing a digi.  It's just called 'Fighting Knights' at the mo as I've not had time to think up anything more imaginative!

I've coloured it with my usual Copic Sketch Markers on Rymans Coated white 200gsm card.
I'm quite pleased with it, in the end, and finally got to use my Shield and Banner Spellbinders.

Happy Third Birthday Toby!

Left of Centre Challenge # 25 - Demon Lovers

This week's theme at LOC is Demon Lovers and I've used this Rick St.Dennis image for my demo.

I hope you will pop over to LOC and to my teamie's blogs as there are some fab images out there and my teamies sure know how to use them!

This is a hybrid project piece, as although I coloured the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and Tim Holtz Distress inkpads,  I used one of my own digital papers from my Eiglas 'Roseheart' Collection for the background paper and my own digital eyelet lace down the card.  The metallic picture corners are also my own digital elements.

See you again very soon and don't forget to pop back in two weeks as we have a halfway reminder and I've done another card for that too - with a new image of my own!
