Copics Colour Challenge 54 - Aqua, Light Crockery blue and Buttercup yellow

Copics Colour Challenge 54 have a beautiful pallette of Aqua, Light Crockery Blue, and Buttercup Yellow this week and I really enjoyed playing with these lovely summery colours.

I used a lovely glaze-embossed checked paper from Martha Stewart for the field - the colours are exactly right and it's such a wonderful quality of paper I didn't want to put another paper with it!
To keep it simple, I just used two ribbons layered and a bit of paper lace made with a Martha Stewart punch underneath the image mat.

The image is a lovely Sarah Kay stamps called Country Girl, which I've had ages but never actually used before - can't think why now as it'a a charming image.

I decoupaged it a bit with silicone gel glue and coloured it with the required Copics plus the skintone ones.

I matted the image onto blue oval mat then onto a buttercup oval mat and used Flowersoft Springtime mix around the lower perimiter and a few silver dots on the blue upper oval.

I finished off with some lovely paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a silver butterfly charm.

I have cheated a bit though. I haven't anyone in mind for this card at the present so I just put the Happy Birthday greeting on the real mat in my graphics program!
I hope that doesn't upset anyone - nothing else is photoshopped!

Hope you like it!
Hugs,
Ei
