Sketch & Stash 29 & Allsorts 40 Challenges
I'm trying hard to get back into my challenges after being a bit lost in the wilderness for a couple of months due to technology malfunctions and illness so, as I have a few days off from minding my lickle Ada this week, I'm getiing stuck in!
This week at Allsorts, we're asked for a tag, a ticket or a label and I've put my motto on my hanging label for this. Also, the lovely DT at Allsorts would like to know what neglected or never used stash was used.
Well, the pink gingham was in a pad I bought nearly two years ago from a craft show and have hardly opened! The lovely patterned paper is only unused because I love it and was saving it! It's DCWV from Nancy's Pink Spring set of Drawers.
I'm really sorry about the photo - the colours haven't come out at all well and I will try to take another tomorrow morning in daylight, but if I leave uploading until then, I'll miss the Sketch and Stash challenge which provided the fab sketch!
(NB just uploaded new photo but after Jules' lovely comment!)
It's a bit of a gamble all round this card because I've coloured Mo Manning's fab image 'Between' in both Copics and Lyra pencils. Copics, I love and use all the time but except for one time I can think of, I've never used coloured pencils for years - since high school I think!
Also, not having any 'Sansodor' (which I've read peeps use to blend the pencils) I used a drop of body-oil which may or may not have worked, but smells lovely! LOL! So if my colouring isn't up to my usual - that's why!
Hope you like it!
Hugs,
Ei

Hi Ei.
ReplyDeleteI don't seem to have visited you in ages, please forgive me.
This is a gorgeous card. I can understand why you were keeping that paper, it's yummy.
Your image is beautifully coloured too. I envy people who can colour so beautifully with pens, I fail miserably which is why I don't do cute very often.
Just a lovely bright card in this cold, cold weather.

Absolutely gorgeous - perfect choice of papers and sentiment!x
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting things back together so you can share your beautiful work. This is beautiful and the coloring on the Mo image is perfect.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning work. Isn't it fascinating how paper can be too lovely to use :). I totally recognize that. I'm so glad you joined the Allsorts challenge this week and good luck.
ReplyDeleteIt's just amazing what you can achieve with pencils and body oil! :D Really, I think your colouring is FAB!
ReplyDeleteAnd papers - omg, the colours are just CALLING to me! I need them too!!! :'(
