C.R.A.F.T 39 - Glitter & Ribbon

I love this week's challenge from C.R.A.F.T! Glitter and a ribbon, using some lovely background paper from our sponsor Toucan Scraps! What's not to like?

Of course I had to use a Mo Manning image 'Feel the Joy...' and colour it with my lovely Copics, didn't I? LOL! I think I may be in danger of becoming predictable!
The only thing that saves me is the infinite variety of Mo's images.

I love this image of Bella - every child should have many 'feel the joy' moments in their lives and it saddens me to my core that many don't.

For a change I've made a gate-fold card. I've covered the front with a lovely lilac paper from Toucan Scraps and egded the left leaf with a lilac Bazzil Bling card with my Martha Stewart border punch. I'd previously run the border through my Xyron adhesive so the holes in the filigree, could be filled with white glitter.

I then matted my image onto a scrap of the lilac Bazzil Bling card and adhered to the left leaf, taking care to centre it accurately.

I then punched out some green pearl paper with my Martha Stewart 'Branch' and L-Em 'Ash Branch' punches. These were adhered in place with Pinflair glue-gel.

The purple glitter daisies are Petaloo from the 1, 000 piece 'I Love You' bargain bag, which wasn't such a bargain because a good half of the bag were cheap foam flowers which I probably won't use (...well, who knows? I love a challenge...!)

A couple of brads and a purple bow finishes the card!

Copics colours?

Hair - Y21, E08, E35, E47, YR16, Spica Orange, Spica Yellow

I hope you like it!

  4. This is so clever -- I would never have thought about having adhesive in the holes of the border punch to hold glitter. This is darling.
