Maddy's Copics Workshop

Yesterday, I attended Maddy Hill's Copics workshop in Headingley, Leeds.
It was a really enjoyable day - Maddy and her partner Rachael make you really welcome and are just a little bit barmy!

We ( ...well, they...I was late...LOL!) started about 10:15am and were supplied with tea and coffee all day. At lunchtime, a lovely buffet was provided with jacket potatoes and all sorts of yummy stuff followed by scrummy cakes.

We were provided with materials to stamp and colour the above project and a selection of beautiful papers & cards were also made available to this end.

Maddy is a very good tutor and manages to strike a balance between controlling her naughty students and initiating half of the frivolity! We were regaled with tales of naughty Calvin Mouse, so we had to speed up the work in the afternoon 'cos we'd chatted and giggled so much in the morning!

The afternoon session consisted of more stamping, colouring tips & hints and lunacy and about 5:00pm, the party started to break up and some of the other ladies had a train to catch. We all swapped details and will keep in touch, I think!

I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to be more proficient with these pens as they are a bit different to the Marvy's and the Zig Photo-Twins and they do handle slightly differently. Plus Maddy's been using them for quite a while now and has lots of info and helpful tips on the best materials to use and the best way of blending the pens, which is not always necessarily the way you'd think!

I wasn't a bad colourist before the course, but I think the above project is one of my better colouring jobs, don't you?

Take care and speak soon Chucks!
