For Friends & Family

A few of my friends and family have 'threshold' birthdays this year so I've got started in good time with the cards!

The first (not necessarily chronologically!) is my darling daughter-in-law Dani.
There really should be another title for someone like my Dani - 'daughter-in-law' just does not describe our relationship at all!

If they made daughter-in-law kits, I couldn't design a better one (...unless I could draft in a mega-rich Daddy for her...! LOL!) because she is more than perfect.

She is kind, caring and simply the most thoughtful person I know and sooo pretty too!  A perfect match for my number three son Rob and they're both 30 this year.

Background paper is K&Co (I think!) and the die-cut leaves are Sizzix.
The handmade flowers are scrap paper distressed with Tim Holtz 'Dusty Concord' and that's the ink used for the distressing too.
The 'Scroll' die-cut in the bottom right corner is Tim Holtz too as is the swirls embossing plate used for the image mount mat. The purple mat is hand cut as I don't have an oval scalloped Nestie.
The image is coloured with my trusty Copics.

I'd like to enter this one into the challenge at Patti's Creations - 'Your own embellishments'

My friend Wendy is going to b 60 this month so I've made her this.
The papers are Anna Griffin as is the corner punch. The rest is hand cut with scissors and craft-knife. The greeting I made & printed myself.
The extra vellum layer on the box is hiding a bubble I missed when I covered it with the paper during the make! LOL!

Well that's all for now - off to play with Charlie & Lola!
