Mikey

This is my entry to this week's Copics Challenge!
Isn't he gorgeous? He's Mikey from Charmed, Delectable Stamps.
I've coloured him with Copics and Marvy pens andadded a little glossy accents to his guitar to make it look more 'woody'.
I found him quite challenging as I don't have much in the way of 'masculine' elements and flowers just wouldn't do for a cool dude! So, I used my plec! And a CD. And saddle-stitch.
The backing paper is DCWV Rockstar.
Hope you like him 'cos you'll be seeing him again!

  6. Hi Ei, This is wonderful. I love your colouring too.Nice to see that you can get such great definition with those pens, most I have seen have been very flat. It put me off trying them.
Sorry you have been so poorly. I thought it was just the extra work with your little miss gorgeous. i am quite out of touch as I have been busy with the LLB for Trimcraft. Playing with the retro rose stamps today. The chipboards are a bit flat, lol, so adding some def to mine, well, some of them, some look better flat! The hardest thing is just using LLB and not being able to suppliment it with my own stash.
I absolutely love this card. Very clever little finishing touches.
    Love,and get well soon, Mayxx

  7. Hi everyone!
I know were not supposed to reply on here but it really seems rude not to, when peeps are so kind!
The secret to colouring (well, mine anyway...!) is to start with your lightest shade and work backwards to darker, building up the layers. I let them dry in between times too, once blended, so the card or paper doesn't start to disintigrate. Then finish off with a top-coat of your lightest shade blender for the colour block you're working.
So my pix start off really pastel and 'develop' as they go. Stop where you like!
